Dec. 21, 2010

Time to get serious...again...about blogging. Not because anyone is reading, but because I need to write. 500 words a day, minimum. Either have discipline or regrets...

NO REGRETS, EVER!

Seven Year Life Segments

Want to be more consistent with this journal, so will grind out a few words before bed. Turned 52 years old this week...reviewing my life in 7-year subsets. Can't remember where I saw the 7-year thing, but seems to be something to it:
0-7: child
8-14: developing
15-21: Maturing, blah, blah, blah
22-28: Corporate ladder climber, commercial real estate
29-35: Entrepreneur, LawCard
36-42: Independent, sole-searching, San Diego
43-49: partying, "pirate" phase, New Orleans
50-now: big "Greedy Bastard" push for cash to cruise on, Orleans Shoring.
This doesn't change my goal to go cruising soon...actually, it re-enforces it! I hear the island music now!

Spring Cleaning

Beautiful Saturday, so opened up the boat for a good spring cleaning. Still have some issues with leaking port lights, and a little mold from a cold damp winter... but otherwise she's in good shape.

Countdown Pamplona! 270#

Incredible...I've actually worked out every other day since returning from Paris. I can feel the improvement in both my strength and endurance. I'm always amazed at how quickly my body reacts to regular exercise. Yesterday morning, I weighted in at 270.5 lbs. Down from 280 before leaving for Paris. Keep it up and I'll definitely be ready for the bulls!

Happy New Year 2010!

Just returned from Paris to visit Dave & Laurie. Incredible trip, beautiful city, and wonderful friends! My plan is to make 2010 the beginning of my "Vacation of the Month" lifestyle.
